Maame-Yaa Aforo is a Ghanaian-American actor, writer, producer, director, creative consultant, and improvisational comedian based in Los Angeles, California. She was born and raised in the Minneapolis suburb of Coon Rapids, Minnesota. Yes, it’s a real place. Maame-Yaa started her career making waves in the Los Angeles improv comedy scene at The Groundlings, The Upright Citizens Brigade, and The Second City theaters.
